Overview
- For general overview on how bookings work, refer to Create Transport Booking
Step 1: Upload file
Before uploading, make sure:
- The file is in .csv format
- The content of the file followed the agreed upon formatting
- A bulk import function for the table format, billing customer, customer and shipper is already made. Each function only caters to a specific combination of these items.
- Please contact IT department if any of these are unclear.
Select the function that you want to use. Read the description to make sure that you are choosing the correct function
Choose the shipper required date & consignee required date for the bookings. All the bookings should share the same shipper required date & consignee required date.
To upload a file, drag the file into the uploader area or click inside the uploader area and select a file
Once the file is uploaded and you can see the filename under the uploader area, click on the load data function to send the uploaded data to be processed by the selected function.
Step 2: Create bookings
Once the file is finished processing, you will see multiple tables on the right side. Each card represents a booking and each table represents a job in that booking. Each job table contains trips and the origin and destination for each trip. There are two type of cards, depending on the data added in ShipX.
If either the company data or the address data is missing in one of the trips, this card will show.
In this card, the error is shown in the table instead of the trips. You can add the missing details in the manage section before you proceed, or you can continue with the bulk import and add these jobs later.
If the company and the address specified in the booking exists, this card will show up. This indicates that the booking may be created. The table only shows 5 trips at once. If there are more than 5 trips in the job, the table will be paginated.
Once you've read and confirmed all the details regarding the bookings, click on the Submit button to create the bookings. You'll receive a notification stating the number of bookings created successfully. Each table that has its booking successfully created will show a link that you can click to open the booking in a new tab.
