Creating a job type
In the Manage dashboard, click on Job Type under the TRANSPORT section, then click on Create.
Job Type helps to specify the structure of the job.
- Code: The code used to refer to a job type. Must be unique.
- Name: The name to display when selecting a job type when creating a job.
- Compute Type: determines how the rateof the job is computed:
- FIRST_TRIP: compute by the first trip in the job.
- LAST_TRIP: compute by the last trip in the job.
- ALL_TRIPS: compute by all the trips in the job
- Sorting: determines the sort order it shows up when creating a booking.
- Default Trip Format: when a job is initialized, the trip format will be set to this by default. May be overridden when creating the job.
Billing Unit
Billing Unit Options are the units of measurement(UOM) that are applicable to be used to measure the rate of the job to be billed to the Billing Customer. To add an option, click on Add Billing Unit Option.
- Biling Units: A selector for the type of billing unit / uom.
- Values: Value options for the selected billing unit. Leave blank if the value can be any number.
Trip Details
Trip details determines which customers will be available as options in selecting the every trip's origin(from) and destination(to). To add trip details, click on Add Trip Details.
- Type refers to the trip type. For example:
- This job has a DELIVERY trip and a COLLECTION trip
- The DELIVERY trip either goes from either a warehouse, the billing customer or a shipper to a consignee
- The COLLECTION trip either goes from either the consignee or the billing customer to a warehouse
