Overview

  • You may access the transport planning by legs page via Transport > Planning > Jobs/Trips/Legs.
  • 1 booking could possibly have:
    • Job-1
      • Trip Delivery-1
        • Leg-1 (Driver 1)
        • Leg-2 (Driver 2)
      • Trip Collection-2
        • Leg-1
    • Job-2
      • Trip Delivery-1
        • Leg-1
  • This is where you can view the planned (assigned to driver and vehicle) and unplanned legs, assign legs to drivers and vehicles, record the timing upon arrival at a point, create and validate empty legs, etc.
  • The empty trips (MT) can be generated by the system, or created by the user.


Transport Planning Search Section

  • Here, you may search for laden and/or empty legs from the server by selecting the search criteria here.
  • To search in greater detail, click on the filter button on the right to expand the full list of search criteria.
  • For example, you may search by the shipper required date range and job numbers.


Summary & Trips Filter Section

  • After loading the laden and/or empty legs from the server, this section presents a summary view which can also be used to quickly filter the data.
  • For example, select a Base Zone to see the outgoing and return legs, relative to the base zone.
  • Clicking on a number in the outgoing or return table will filter the data in the main table below.
  • Clicking on "Clear Filter" will clear/reset the filters.


Jobs > Trips > Legs

Update Leg

  • You may click on a row in the table to view the legs under the same trip and job as shown below.
  • Here, you can assign the leg to a Transporter company, driver, vehicle, trailer, and update the leg timings (e.g. plan start, start, start out, etc.).


Add Leg

  • To add a leg, click on the "+" button on the right of a leg.
  • Search for an address (autocomplete with google maps) or select a yard
  • Click "Add Leg".

  • After adding the leg, notice how the "From" and "To" columns change, where the new leg address is added in between.


Delete/Undelete Leg

  • To delete a leg, click on the bin icon.

  • After deleting a leg, notice how the Leg Status becomes "CANCELLED", and "From" and "To" columns for the other legs are updated as well.
  • To undelete a leg, you may click on the undo icon.


Validate Empty Trip

  • To view more details on an empty trip, click on the  icon on the far right under the 'Remarks' column at that empty trip row (red in colour).
  • This opens a 'Validate Empty Trip' modal, wherein you may change the status and/or edit the empty trip (e.g. from and to).


Create Empty Trip

  • If an expected empty trip was not generated by the system, you may create one from a laden leg. Click on the  icon on the far right under the 'Remarks' column at that laden leg row.
  • This opens a 'Create Empty Trip' modal, wherein the system will first propose the empty trip details, and you may edit them before clicking 'Submit' to create this empty trip



Misc.

  • You may click on "Set Columns" to show/hide columns, or click on the arrow on the right to move a column.

  • You may click on the right button to export the data.
